adopt another 5 month old kitten?

Does anyone have any experience of introducing two 5month old kittens? We currently have a 5 month old male kitten and would like to add another cat to the family at some point (we initially thought in a few years), however a 5 month old male kitten has just become available for rehoming at a local rescue who they would like to rehome to someone with a resident cat. I just wondered if anyone had any experience or advice about introducing two cats at this age?

Yes l managed it successfully, l think it's easier for them to bond when younger.
I initially had two kittens, one sadly died at the vets, my surviving kitten seemed lost without his sibling so l then took on a pair of kittens same age. I followed advice by cat experts on YouTube regarding introducing new kittens/ cats, took it very slow, they are all a year old now and they get on very well. They play, sleep and eat together, along with going off and doing their own thing. I didn't force anything, just let them bond naturally. I also have an older male cat who is very laid back, he is very good with them, to be honest they find him boring as he refuses to run around so the novelty soon wore off and they leave him well alone.
I personally think young kittens do much better when they have companions, l have always had kittens in pairs and even when much older they have still had a strong bond. I have a big garden and plenty of space for them all.

Of course, can’t believe I forgot!! Here’s our gorgeous boy, just as a posted this I saw the the kitten has already been rehomed. However it’s still something we’re considering so still interested if anyone has advice about introducing a new kitten to a 5 month old kitten!

He's just gorgeous. To be honest I wouldn't wait too long, in my experience the younger the resident cat is, the easier it is.

This is definitely true.

He'll be fine! Kittens tend to love everyone so if you want to get another I would do it now - good luck!
