My cat will only eat dry food, I have tried endless varieties of wet food, including all the usual well known supermarket brands, raw food from my vet and subscription food like Blink, but she refuses them all. She is not even interested chicken, tuna, ham etc, which all my previous cats have loved as an occasional treat.

I am feeding her Orijen & Acana dry food, which she eats small amounts of but doesn’t seem to love. I chose those brands as they are grain free, whole prey etc, and I wanted to give her the best food possible in light of her limited diet, however I would like to try some other brands & see if there are any she really likes.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a complete dry food that their cat really loves? I am starting to worry about her. She is 2 years old by the way, vet has given her a clean bill of health and teeth are in good condition.

Hill's Science Plan complete dry food. Mine has been on it from a kitten and is in very good health and is in double figures. They do different flavours and variations depending on age and any health/diet conditions etc. I buy the 15kg bulk bags online which last approx. 9 months or so with a bowl down 24/7. Vet recommended.

Mine are on Amazon Lifelong dry food. It's grain free and they like it. And it's not to expensive.

Hills Science Plan is very good, make sure they have plenty of water though as it makes them drink a lot!

Mine like Purizon. We buy from zooplus. I sometimes alternate with Applaws

Mine loves Canegan fish. It’s expensive but he doesn’t eat as much of it as other dried food because it’s so nutritious. I used to feed Purizon from Zooplus but he went off it.

Arden grange.

My very fussy cat loves Feringa dry food from Zooplus. Specifically the chicken and trout, she eats more of her dry food than wet.

Mine like thrive dry and encore although it's harder to get hold of. I did find vets kitchen dry cat food in sainsbury's and it seems similar to encore. I make a mix of them in a tub

Mine likes Carnilove, the reindeer flavour. He's a red meat kind of guy.

Our like Wild Freedom grain free from Zooplus

Blingstar · 13/08/2023 14:51

I also buy from Zooplus. Purizon, Feringa etc. maybe you could try her on the Cosma soup? You can buy a trial pack of 4. My cat loves it. He's not a wet food fan either, tends to eat the jelly and the rest dries up. But he absolutely loves that soup.

Mine have Lifelong from Amazon too. Seems to be good quality and reasonably priced.

Meridianmcmump · 13/08/2023 15:18

Thanks for all the recommendations everyone, lots of brands I’ve not heard of before to try.

Will also try the cosma soup, thank you!

Hills Science Diet - vet recommended - used to have a guarantee that if they didn't like it you could have your money back.
