Help name my new kitten :)

Please help me name this gorgeous girly. She has unexpectedly joined my household as she needed rehoming urgently as she was being mauled by 3 toddlers.
She is confident and feisty.

Also I would be grateful for any advice on how to deal with socialising her. At the moment we are not trying to touch her as she's been traumatised by the little kids. When should we begin gentle touching? Do we wait for her to come to us? She's not hiding away but she hisses if anyone reaches out.

Names

Pepperoni
Pansy
Viola
Pecan
Patty
Cassie
Coriander
Clemmie

If she's very feisty, she may need a day or so to calm down. You could try and offer food or treats so she associates you with something nice. Try and sit near her and chat to her.

I would definitely be gently stroking her in the next few days so that she gets used to gentle (non toddler handling). Our youngest cat seemed to get a lot of comfort and reassurance from strokes when he was settling in and is growing into an affectionate well settled cat. Stroking can remind them of their mothers cleaning them. Obviously very tentatively, not to spook her.

A lot of lovely names already suggested. I had a cat this colour years ago named Calico which is what tortoiseshell coloured cats are called in the US.

Callie.

Oh, she's gorgeous.
Roughly how old is she?

I second Callie, full name Calico.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions. I lived Pepper and Callie but I've been outvoted by my (grown up) kids and she's called Nemona.

I have been told she's 9 weeks which seems about right to me size wise. She's settling a treat. We can now stroke her and play with her. She's still not happy to be picked up but that's fine.
