Very 'clingy' cat

My female cat is eight years old, spayed and in good health. However, over the last month she has become very clingy, especially towards me.

She wants to curl up with me, follow me, sleep in my bed, and she is very vocal especially with respect to trilling etc. These are not entirely new behaviours, but they are more persistent and extreme than they used to be.

She has had a health check, and all seems to be well. She plays and eats just as she always has. However, the behaviour is a bit OTT.

Although I seem to be the centre of her attention, she is also very tolerant of our male cat, and she used to be quite snappy with him.

Although she is spayed, she does have endometriosis, and I wondered if the behaviour could be hormonal, although it is not exactly heat like behaviour.

Any advice would be welcome.

No, definitely not pregnant. (Much too old :))

One of mine is like this. I have no personal space from her. Though in her case. Her food wasn't agreeing with her. So I've changed her diet. I think she's reverted to how she used to be now she's feeling better!

Has anything else changed in your home in the last month?

Nothing has changed in the house (except the cat). I think she may just have mellowed as she has matured. I will try a slight change of food though, just in case.
