mystery scratching

I am puzzling why One of my 3 cats is scratching so much.

she has beautiful thick fur but now some scabs/small wounds: 1 at base of one ear, under her chin (2) and behind her head (2) from overscratching I suspect

Can't see any scabs/wounds elsewhere, she is only scratching around her head.

anti-parasite stuff applied regularly
no sign of fleas, ringworm or mites

it costs £50 to see vet & I doubt they could diagnose anything, too

Ideas?

Little Miss Neurotic

The next-to-ear wound is mostly healed now after we spotted it bleeding 5-6 days ago: inside of ear is perfect, no damage there.

She needs to see a vet - nobody can diagnose her online.

It's likely to be allergies but you need a diagnosis in order to get her the proper treatment.

I knew of a cat with similar symptoms and it turned out she was allergic to mites that emerge in grass during the summer. Her owner would keep her in if it was really bad, but also had creams to apply from the vet, so they would be able to advise if this is the cause, and help you manage it. Hope you get to the bottom of it, she’s a beautiful cat !
