I am beside myself with worry, we rehomed 2 cats a fortnight ago, we’ve kept them inside so they can settle in. Last night they both somehow got out the bathroom window which was only open slightly. One of them came back this morning but the other hasn’t returned. He’s really timid and nervous and I’m so worried about him. It’s quite a busy road at the front (we have a front garden/drive) but the garden backs onto other gardens the whole length of the road so it’s like a big oblong of gardens. His brother was at the front though this morning.

I have put tuna by open external doors, got his toys outside and the dress I wore yesterday as he was sat on my knee. I am having leaflets printed for neighbours and will post this afternoon. Is there anything else I can do? Is it likely he’ll come home in his own time?

Pop his litter tray in the garden if you can.

Try not to worry - he'll probably be back once he's finished exploring!

Any luck @advice222 ?

He came home! At 4am I was sleeping (badly) on sofa with patio doors open and heard him eating his dry foot outside and I managed to coax him in. ❤️

Great news @advice222 ! Cats! They drive us to distraction but we love them all the same!
