What is this thing on my cat's head?

Noticed something hard and sharp on my car's head today. At first assumed some sort of grass or seed, but it's hard and sharp like the tip of a claw. I tried to pull it out but my cat yelped and it seems to be wedged in or coming out of his skin? I am happy to take him to the vet but wanted to ask around first as happy to have another go at pulling it out!

Hard to say but it looks like a bit of fur coming out where he’s had a scuffle (maybe with another cat?)

Yes it's like a tooth! I did think tick but it's HARD. It's solid like a tooth or a claw.

It does look like a fragment of tooth. I'd take him to the vet. That could easily become very nasty.

Oh yikes, that looks like a tooth sticking in his head. Def get him to the vets as it could get infected.

Hi all. Just to confirm it WAS a tooth! Vet said it could be another cat (my other one is not missing any!) or an outside animal like a hedgehog! It came out cleanly and I have to wipe with an antiseptic solution and keep an eye on it. He seems ok and is getting lots of cuddles!
