What should we ask next?

Our cat has been much less active for the last two days, and is off her food (which is very unlike her, she's a total glutton usually). She's not moving around much at all; really only to move from one sleeping spot to another, and only if someone bothers her with attention.

DH took her to the vet this morning. Her temperature was normal and her mouth looked fine. They did bloods and poked and prodded her abdomen. They couldn't find anything and the bloods came back clear. She's 2 and has had all her vaccinations. They gave her metacam and a 3-day shot of antibiotics.

She came home and immediately asked for and ate food, which implies to me that the pain relief did something.

They said it's possible that she killed and ate something which might be causing a blockage, to to keep her in for a couple of days to make sure she's pooing. I would have thought that they could x-ray for that, that if it was the case it would be more urgent than 'take her home and keep an eye on her' and that they would have felt it when palpating her bowel, which they did and said it felt normal.

In the event that she doesn't improve, what should we be asking?

Anyone? She seems in slightly better form today, and is eating, but she vomited twice this morning. Could that be the antibiotics, as it can be with humans? Or would it not be because it was an injection?

I'm sorry to hear that your cat isn't well. It might be the antibiotics. How is she now? Is she eating and drinking? Moving around more?
