Smelly boy!

Hi!

My 2 year old boy cat is not great at grooming himself. He was with mum until 15 weeks, so unsure why, or if this is usual. I've only had girl cats and never had this problem! And he's a mostly white cat!

So he's started to smell.

I want to try to bathe him, does anybody have any tips. Honestly I wouldn't try this if it wasn't necessary! No point in trauma for us both!

I'm aware to make the water warm etc.

Just looking for practical tips and if anybody has actually managed this!

TIA

Are you taking about not cleaning after going to the toilet smell or general ?
if just the rear end could you not just use cotton wool in warm water over that area only rather than a full on bath .

Just in general! He's not bad with toileting, it's his fur. I'm wondering if he may have lay in something.

His white fur is marked with dirt.

I brush him but it doesn't seem to be enough anymore!

Lazy boy! Good job he's cute!

So if you think he may have laid in something , it's a new smelly boy situation ?
I'd still suggest just warm water , or you used to be able to buy wipes for cats / dogs , maybe they are still available.
