As those who have been following his progress know, Tobias was a stray and not neutered/chipped until rescued aged about 2. Classic late-neutered characteristics like big cheeks, chunky build etc.
But especially since he's been coming downstairs to pee in that litter tray, I've come to realise that his pee is RANK. Exceptionally strong smell, pungent would be a good word for it, very like the smell of a full tom. I'm having to do a full clear out of the downstairs tray at least twice as often as I used to, plus the upstairs one as well (previously only one tray was used, cats' choice), otherwise the whole house stinks.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they think his late neutering may be causing it? Boycat's didn't smell any different from Girlcat's, and Tobias is eating very similar food to that I've always fed. I'm sort of hoping it is, because otherwise I'll have to get him checked by the vet in case of illness or possibly a bit of tissue left when he was neutered.
