Just spent the last hour balanced on a stool at the top of steep stairs trying to coax my very distressed Rosie off the roof onto the makeshift bridge I’d made by balancing a shelf on top of the open window and resting it on the edge of next doors roof.
My poor girl was so scared, she was howling like a banshee and every time she tried to come down she slipped and panicked. I’m stunned she didn’t wake the whole street.
It was only about an hour but felt like forever.
Finally got her onto the bridge/shelf and then had to wrestle her and the shelf in through the window, all whilst still on a stool at the top of the stairs.
I’m not sure who’s heart was beating faster but she’s home safe and is currently snuggled up under the duvet with me.
