It’s a kitten names one…

These boy/girl siblings are joining us in 5 weeks. DH and 3 yo DD will get a say but does anyone want to offer suggestions for names for this fabulous pair? They are at Cats Protection, currently one month old and we get them late June 😻

Names still unconfirmed but DD (age 3) has suggested Toby and Emily (from Thomas the tank engine). Which we may go with, only slight issue is that my cousin (who I don’t see) has children called Emma and Toby which could seem a bit odd 😂 but there’s no reason they will ever know.

Their Cats Protection names are Cecil and Agatha so I am tempted to call them Toby Cecil and Emily Agatha. Our previous cats had long names much to the vets amusement.

If you name them for Thomas tank engine characters, make sure you figure out who is going the be The Fat Controller 🤣 hopefully you have a hamster or something who can take on this role.

Which colour is boy/girl?

Magpie for the black/white, Firefly for the white/tortie.

The tortie is the girl (tortie boys are very, very rare and almost always ill as it’s a gene mutation or something like that).

Black and white is the boy

@mumarooni I have a very bossy old hen that can take on that role. Although to be fair I am both fat-ish and assertive so……😂
