Fitting cat flap to glazed door

Has anyone fitted a cat flap to a glazed door? How much is it and what kinds of flp do you recommend?

We got a petsafe staywell 4 way cat flap installed into a patio door by a local glazier. Cost about £160 but that was a few years ago so probably a bit more now. The cat flap itself is only about £15 but they need to replace the glass pane. It's lasted well and we've kept the original glass that we can just pop back in if we want to change it back.

They need to replace the glazed panel of the door as it will be made with a sealed hole in double glazing to fit the cat flap in.
We had ours done about 6 years ago and was £250 for a standard single full-length back door glass panel. The sureflap cat flap was purchased separately (about £60). It's worth talking to the glaziers about the brand of cat flap you intend to use. Not only will they need to make the hole to the precise measurements, some microchip cat flaps have issues with the metal inside the glazing causing interference. Our fitter recommended sureflap and could either supply one or leave us to buy our own (we chose this option as it came up as a deal on Amazon Prime).

We had it done last summer. It was £250 for the full length glass door and then we paid separately for the cat flap (microchip one think it was £60).

Thanks folks - were these prices for double glazed doors, and were any custom made for the house ? (We have a modern townhouse)

Yes double glazed but mine was only a half length piece which is why I think it was a bit cheaper. Not custom made they seem to have standard sizes, they just measured and got the right one out of the van.

We had one done when we got our cats (four years ago ), IIRC about £230 for the door and £50ish for the catdoor
We have French doors but they're quite narrow .

We bought the catflap (microchip one) they measured the door , took the catdoor and fitted the assembled unit about a week or so later . (Our cats were indoors from the May til July )
We have the original panel (but as I cannot see us being without cats now, I don;t think we;ll change it as long as we live here )
