18 year old cat pooing where she shouldn’t!

Hi all, I’m at my wits end, my cat is 18 and has always been good with her litter. She is still using it but every now and then (more like every day atm) she is shitting on our front door
mat. It’s a fitted mat so I can’t just move it. We blocked it off for a while but I couldn’t handle not being able to easily get in and out my
own house.

It’s been cleaned, tried foil, got some plastic anti cat things you get for gardens (she went in between them! And I don’t know what else to do.

We have a baby due in July and I can’t be cleaning up after her like this for much longer 😭

Can she still easily get in and out of the litter tray? Could be a mobility issue. Or is she doing anything else out of the ordinary?

I’ve got a 15 year old who poos on the floor and have just bought a high back/low front potting tray which she uses without any litter. She’s arthritic and I think can’t balance comfortably on the litter. She also uses it to wee in occasionally.
