Is this a tick on my older kitten’s back?

He’s just been flea treated (didn’t have fleas but he was scratching a bit. His winter fur is just starting to moult a little).

The scab has just come loose maybe because I have him a really good brush today.

if anyone has an idea I’d be warmly grateful, thankyou.

Ticks are like little hard pills, if you look closely you can see the head and legs

That might be from a tick which has dropped off, or from any number of other things.

Assuming your furry master is otherwise OK I'd just keep an eye to see it heals up nicely.

I don't think it's tick season yet, assuming you're in the UK.

It doesn't look like it to me - more dry skin or an injury that's healed.

We are coming into tick season though so it might be worth getting a flea treatment that covers ticks as well.

No that’s not a tick.
