Lord knobbington has come in squinting one eye. I can't see anything obvious in it & no discharge...but we are off for a break tomorrow & he's due to go to the cattery for 5 days. Should I get him checked out in the morning first? Would normally watch & wait, but with him going to the cattery I'm airing on the side of caution?

I probably would get him checked out. Just to be on the safe side.

Definitely get it checked out - eye issues aren't to be messed with!

The only sign that my Persian had a punctured eyeball, a few years ago, and a serious ulcer in the other eye this year. Was because she had one eye closed. (Fortunately the punctured one was saved, the other was not, and she now identifies as a pirate.)

Thanks all, vets have kindly (tell my bank balance that!) seen his lordship this morning, attempted to irrigate & couldn't see anything of concern. His lordship is now sulking & hiding his eyes lol The cattery are fab & I'll ask them to look out for any signs of concern
