Claws McGraws and The Flea

Hi all,

So it was time for Claws to have his monthly dose of flea lotion on Saturday. This time I was prepared, I warmed the pipette in my bra, I squished a sachet of Dreamies Creamy in to his food bowl then I leapt in to action and applied the liquid between his shoulder blades.

He knew I had done something Very Very Bad to him, gave me a serious dose of skunk eye and stropped out the house all day.

Today I fed him, stroked him, walked across my kitchen and a baby flea hopped off me. Naturally I now cannot stop itching my head and am worried the flea treatment didn’t work. It states it kills active fleas within 24hrs - we’re beyond that, so now what the fluff do I do?! Is there a chance Mr Flea went rogue and it didn’t affect him OR he’s currently in his death throes and wanted to put the wind up me as his final act.

I can’t and won’t re-treat Claws as that’s harmful, I’ll be flea spraying the house later but I’m having a mini freak out to the point I’m considering using a kids flea shampoo on my (stupidly long) hair.

I used Beaphar FIPROtec Combo for the first time as I couldn’t get hold of his usual treatment which naturally I’m having a brain fart and can’t recall it’s name.

Should I just calm the fuck down and let the flea lotion continue to work or shall I maintain my panicked stance.

Obligatory pic of Claws who gives zero f’s.

If it was me I’d assume the flea had hopped on since the treatment went on and was in its death throes.

Ps Claws is magnificent!
