What do you feed your cat?

I know this has been done to death but what do you feed your cat and how much/many times a day? My new rescue is currently on webbox with a bit of dry food throughout the day too. She's only just under 3kg.

They're pretty greedy, so keep them to 2-3 pouches each a day with bix but they sometimes wrap my kids around their paws and get a bit more lol

Three pouches a day 😬

Don't tell mine - they only get one each!

Honestly I don't know where my 4 year old male cat puts it. We did a food diary for him the other day and he had 6 pouches!!! He's 5.5kg which is big but he's a large cat and the vet says he's not overweight. Also had bloods done for other things and he's fit and healthy. Just eats like a horse! He's not particularly active either. Just built slim I guess. Costs us a bloody fortune!!

His sister is much smaller at 4kg and eats two pouches with a few biscuits.

My mum is in disbelief at how I feed my cats since hers are overweight and get much less.

Cat food is mad expensive. And o live in fear of the supermarket being out of stock of the brand they will eat!

What brand do you buy out of interest? I tried to swap some of my cat dry food for supermarkets and she refused to it…

Ours has a mix of Sheba and Felix wet sachets, and Lily’s Kitchen dry.

Dry that is 80% meat content - Eden, orijen, Josera

Looks expensive but they don't need much each day and far less 💩 as it's not full of fillers.

@Haveallthesongsbeenwritten I buy Blink wet food (the fish one). I've only ever found it in Waitrose where I live. For dry food I buy Purina - my fussy little buggers like crunchy kibbles, not anything squidgy. Also big cat is on a diet so I try to get her indoor or light formula.

Morrisons or Butchers wet food in jelly. Not the fish flavours. It's the only thing that doesn't make them sick or grumpy.

We fed our previous cats Go Cat pretty much exclusively since we were broke plus it's what they were used to. But now I suspect dry grain-based food is why one cat was immensely fat and the other had digestive and urinary issues. These two are much healthier and more energetic.

I was feeding mine Katkin, but I just can't afford it anymore. They're now on Butchers Classic tins, for some reason they don't like the pouches. They go through about a tin each per day and I just feed them as and when they want.
