Does this wound look okay?

My little boy had an umbilical hernia op on Thursday, and he's still really quiet. He's eating and drinking, not as much as normal but he is doing so. I've checked his wound and have to email the vet a photo tomorrow (he's not having to be re-seen as long as he recovers ok, just send a wound photo tomorrow and then 7 days later)
Just after some reassurance before the vet gets back tomorrow that this looks okay? I knew he'd be dopey after the op but didn't expect him to still be so quiet.

im by no means an animal expert but I am an absolute animal lover so just wanted to send love and wish the little guy a speedy recovery , my little boy had an op a few year ago and his looked the same and everything turned out ok so hopefully that makes you feel a little more confident

I too was worried at the time but was told the fact that the wound is starting to scab is a good sign and it looks like your little boy Is getting a scab so fingers crossed wishing you both all the best

Did the vet give you a decent supply of painkillers?

He's got 4 days worth of pain killers, tomorrow will be the last dose after the op Thursday does this sound okay?

That sounds pretty normal but if he's still struggling or you're still concerned, there's nothing wrong with asking them to see him again just to be sure ☺️
