Kitten always has dirty ears

My 3 month old kitten always seems to have dirty ears. He had them checked at both vaccinations and they said no mites.

Could this just be normal for him? Should I clean them every day or is this too much?

I put ear cleaner in my all my cats ears every month (youngest cat is 7 months old) I use ear mite drops every 6 months unless needed. Some cats are just mucky.

I think he might just be one of them mucky cats. If I leave it a couple of days I feel like theyre too dirty. I asked vet to check because he was scratching. Unfortunately he did have fleas when I got him, I wonder if there's some flea dirt I haven't managed to get out.
I got some drops but he hates me for it afterwards 😂

He’s adorable!

No advice about ears but just had to say (again) he’s adorable!

My boy does. He is always dirty in some way. We call him Stig.

(Actually took him to the vet because I thought he had a growth on his nose and it was dirt).

I have no advice sorry just came on for the pics. Adorable. Grin

Have you tried bathing him, 3 of my cats love baths, or try no water shampoo, just check it's for kittens. You can also get wipes to help with cleaning as use these on our dog.

I used to have a cat that as he got older seemed to just have mucky ears.

He wasn’t uncomfortable, didn’t scratch them or shake his ears/head.

I just used to use a tissue, scrunch the end and wipe it around his ear. I didn’t try and go inside the ear.

He actually seemed to like it and would push into me, like they do when you scratch them behind the ear.

When I did this I literally stopped after 30 seconds. Keep it short and sweet.

I have wipes to clean them with then they're dirty again by next day.

He is cute but he's a big pain in the arse 😂

Warm Olive oil on a cotton pad is really effective - old wives solution, but my cat loves it!

Just got home from work. Checked his ears and they look like this. I cleaned them yesterday. Would you go back to the vets?
