Please advise! Best flea treatment for cat?

The dreaded moment has arrived - I saw a flea drop off my cat and jump about on the bed earlier! 🤢

Obviously I want to treat both my cats immediately, and I will be spraying the house with Indorex and hoovering all soft furnishings/carpets to high heaven.

My question is: What is the best flea treatment to request from the vets? Both of mine were given Bravecto spot on last time, and both seemed extremely grumpy and uncomfortable after the treatment was applied for several hours, which was out of character for them. I’m worried about giving them the same thing again, and after reading some awful reviews about cats being killed by Bravecto, I’m even more fearful! What do you all use?

Stronghold plus is what i use on my 2

Bravecto plus and prescribe it for hundreds of cats. The occasional cat appears to have belly probably due to it killing round worms.

Oh no. Was going to go with bravecto for my new rescue. Worried now.

I would never give my cats Bravecto again, one was unwell with it. Curled up all day, didn't eat, drink or move and seemed very unhappy. I get Advocate from vet and works well.

Bravecto. Never had a single flea and no issues at all.

We get a monthly Advocate spot on; it is included in our health plan with the vet. All the cats hate having it put on (I bear the scars) but they’ve never been ill with it, and we’ve certainly never seen a flea

Advotcate from vets works well having tried loads of other things off the shelf that don’t work. Advantage was the best over the counter flea treatment but it doesn’t kill ticks!
