Cat with no name....

As per requirements, I've attached a picture.
This boy was taken in as a stray, in-neutered Tom by DC1.
They couldn't keep him permanently as they already have cats, but did get him neutered and brought him to me.
I'm keeping him in (as long as possible) and have given him a name which I'm using a lot, but am worried that he still won't know his name when he's ready to go outside. Any advice?
TIA.

Gorgeous boy.

Get him used to the sound of his food bowl being filled and make sure he’s due a feed when he goes out the first few times.

Beautiful cat. Mine knows her name and comes to call. As previous posters suggest I'd use a harness first. I attached the harness to a long rein (a long line/lead used for horses). I attached one end to cat harness and secured one end to something in garden. Under supervision she roamed the garden until she was used to her outdoors. Free roaming now, she doesn't go further than along the fences of the neighbours 2 doors down

My cat comes when I shout her, she shouts back to me while running to the door😁

That is for all of the advice and compliments!
@Loobyloo68, he's a shouter too - just woke up from a long nap and proceeded to miaow at me in a very annoyed tone!
@CatChant, he is very good driven and I'm familiar with making sure he's hungry when he first does out. (My old cat was an absolute sod for not coming in - he'd stick his nose in the door and then gallop off!)
He's settling in well and has no realised the stairs are only for doing zoomies on (not a fan of cat's bums on beds).
I've got him (amongst others) a toy which hangs from the door frame and he loves it!
He is one spoilt cat if I say so myself. Smile

Just a couple more pictures to show the wild hunter at work and rest! Grin
When I took him to the vet for his chip and jabs she said he looks like a wildcat because the hair on his ears makes them look pointy!
I am now a fully dedicated cat slave and have become skilled in the art of having several toys for him to chase, throwing the next one and picking up the last - I'm more out of breath than he is when he's done! I've just messaged DC to say he gets himself all revved up like one of those children's cars you have to keep pulling backwards before you let it go - it's so funny! Smile

Gorgeous cat! Think there’s a bit of extra naughty chatty Bengal in there 😄
