Is he trying to move in?

A dead pigeon appeared in my kitchen this morning. I have 2 female cats that have shown no signs of being hunters and are quite small so it seems unlikely they could drag a fully grown pigeon through the cat flap. A Tom cat is hanging around and often sneaks in to eat the food. Is this a house warming gift?

I would blame the tom in this instance as I bet he's offering his food for your tasty cat food, however even small lightweight kitty cats can take down big birds if they catch them just right.

Remembers the horror of 4kg foster cat trying to bring in teen magpie with both parents attacking kitty, human had to intervene and also got attacked
