Cat spraying or other in house

Hi all I have a 9 month old kitten and for the last few weeks has started spraying or peeing all over the house. I got some special cleaning stuff to get it up with because was told he would just keep going back to the same place if I don't get rid of the smell proper. I have him book in with the vets to be spade next week. But I can smell it constantly now and it's driving me mad.
Any advice on how to get rid of the smell and will getting him done stop it.

Thanks
Sal

Warm water with biological washing powder dissolved in it works well when used to clean affected areas.

We used a cat urine destroyer spray from wilko when ours was spraying but someone also recommended bicarbonate of soda once the area has been cleaned and dried. You can use bicarbonate on its own or buy something scented like the carpet powders. Basically anything with bicarb in will help absorb and remove the smell once it's clean and dry.

We found that as soon our our boy had been neutered he immediately stopped the spraying and we haven't had a single issue since he's been done (about seven months now). Hopefully you have the same result!

Meant to add, we couldn't find a way of preventing him from spraying before he was neutered. We tried so many different prevention sprays and couldn't find a thing that worked. The only that stopped him was the neutering.
