For a 6 pack of tins of Whiskas in the supermarket I generally shop in. You could've knocked me down with a feather. I was so shocked, I actually asked the manager, and she blamed Brexit!

What is going on? I don't actually buy this brand as my cats don't like them, but the food they like is ridiculously expensive as well. I've found another store whose prices are a little bit cheaper, but I think I'll check for better value online. Any recommendations?

I think it's a plot, master minded by our overlords to see how much we love them! Will we continue to pay horrendous prices, to maintain them to the appropriate standard.

I use Zooplus for cat food; a reasonable saving and if you buy in larger quantities can qualify for free delivery.

Or try bitiba. No affiliation but did find them cheaper on most of the bits I buy for my 4 legged friends.

Bitiba sell the same products as Zooplus with the difference being that Bitiba is cheaper.

I always put the same items in the basket on both sites for price comparison and Bitiba is always the winner!

It’s the price of cat litter that’s been shocking me lately. I used to buy silica litter but stopped about a year ago when I just couldn’t justify it any more. Now buying Catsan but it’s gone up by 30% in the past few months!

Only one of my cats uses a litter tray, and is happy enough with Tesco own brand, which is still at a low price, thankfully.

I only had this conversation myself yesterday. I buy our cat's food in a local convenience store to support them and it's gone from €13.50 to €17.50. I was slagging the owner saying I'd have to put the cat on a diet or rehome her! Out of curiosity I priced it in Tesco ( I refuse to shop there) and it's €20. That's a whopping 68% increase.
