My cat has these scabs across his body, does anyone know what the are?

He is 11 and in generally good health and they don't appear itchy for him.

Thank you.

They look like flea bites to me. Some cats are more sensitive to flea bites than others. Has he been regularly treated for fleas?

It's not fleas. He's flea'd every month. I've checked for them and he doesn't have any.

I can only suggest an allergy then - has anything changed at home - new cleaning products?

Flea bite allergy?

HairyKitty · 07/03/2023 20:09

Because you treat him and don’t see fleas doesn’t mean it’s not fleas. He only needs to have one flea to have flea allergy bites

Your cat might have a food allergy. Mine had similar and was allergic to fish. It would make her skin itchy, causing her to scratch, creating scabs.

Is he fighting? My boys get tiny scabs from when they catch with claws playfighting
