Misbehaving Sureflap

Our 10 yo Sureflap is refusing to click down the catch and let the cats in. I have tried reprogramming it for the cats, and I have reset it to factory settings and reprogrammed the cats. It can reprogram OK so it can see their chips. I have also replaced the batteries and cleaned the sensors. It still isn't behaving. Short of getting a new one, has anyone any ideas how to fix it please?

Sureflap give great customer service, really helpful. The flap is usually guaranteed for 3 years they told me, so when I had a problem with a neighbours cat breaking in, they sennt me a complete replacement.
It's worth giving them a try.

The flap's been with us for over ten years so I doubt if Sureflap would be able to help! We've followed all their troubleshooting instructions a couple of times each, but it's got itself in a proper state as have the cats who were distressed they couldn't get in.
We've given up and bought a new one yesterday which fits straight into the hole.

Now we have a different problem - the catch's clicking sound is rather different and boycat's terrified of it! Daft furry... he'll have to get used to it if he wants to come in!
