About to say goodbye

I have a vets appointment in half hour, there's more chance of winning EuroMillions than my girl coming home.

She has Hyperthyroidism and most likely intestinal cancer. She's skin and bone with a small pot belly

This is unbearable. I've spoilt her the last week but she's barely eating much. Will consult with the vet but I think it's time to put her first and let her go Sad

Have a hand hold from me x

Olivia199 · 16/02/2023 18:03

I'm so very sorry, I can only imagine the heartbreak. Sending lots of love and strength. X

I'm sorry. What is wrong with her mouth/chin in this photo? If she's got intestinal cancer, then having her put to sleep is the only option. Flowers

Flowers so hard xxx

Oh darling wee poppet.

Sadly, it does sound like time. You need to be strong, for her. Cats are so good at masking, so they seem better than they are. It's so so heart breaking though.

lots of hugs
xx

It's a cyst she's had years. Didn't want to surgically remove it in case it got infected and there's not really a lot of skin to pull over the wound on the jaw. Never bothered her but atheistically it doesn't look great.

So so sorry for your loss. Its the hardest thing letting go of our beloved fur babies. But if she's in pain then it might just be the kindest thing you can do for her x hugs x

AllTheOtherCats · 16/02/2023 18:12

I went through similar last week and I haven't stopped crying.

Your girl is beautiful and it sounds like you've loved her to pieces but if they're suffering then it's the last true gift we can give them x

Toddlerteaplease · 16/02/2023 18:32

Handhold from me. But sounds like it's for the best.

MissCalamity · 16/02/2023 18:37

It's such a difficult decision to make, one I had to make at the start of the year.
Just make sure she can see you when she passes. She will know how much you love her 💔
Hugs for you x

DeniseakaFatCat · 16/02/2023 19:32

Fat cat passed peacefully at just before 7pm

The vet agreed it was time, she could feel the mass had grown.

They tried to make me put her through unnecessary testing 4 months ago but i refused. If it was cancer then she was too old to be treated. I'm glad her final months were peaceful
