Thinking about buying one.

Do you have one and what made you choose the one you chose?

I've got one and my cat uses it. The 'Petit' was bought from Pets at Home and cost around £30 I think. I like it

I had a Umitaz fountain from Amazon. I loved it and the cats liked it to. Now have a Catit Pixie. I hate it. It gets green algae and is tricky to clean.

One of my cats uses this all the time. She sits next to it and paws the top till I turn it on for her.
The cat who it was bought for uses it very occasionally.
The other two cats don't go near it.

I've bought two in the past. First was a CateMate, but I found that got mouldy and was hard to clean. Then I bought a Catit (www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0146QXOB0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and we've had that for 5 years now. I get third party filters as you need to change them monthly. One of my cats will only drink from a fountain.

We got this for ours, from Pets at Home. One DCat had got to the point where he only drank from a running tap. In the heatwave, I was worried about him, when we were out all day. They both love it. I just assumed DSisCat didn’t drink much - I’d only seen her drink about three times in five years. She drinks regularly from it!

Catit Pixi here too. When I got it the cats ignored it completely for two weeks (while I held my head in my hands). They love it now. Agree about the algae but I clean it regularly, which is pretty straightforward, so it's not an issue.

We have a water cooler (doesn't actually cool but it looks and works like an office water cooler). The cats love it as it's always fully topped up by default.

We have the daisy one as well. We buy a year's supply of filters from Amazon, we only use the recommended ones as the others don't always fit properly, they aren't expensive around £22 for 12.
I scrub the whole thing out regularly and get to the tricky bits with a reusable straw brush.
