Yowling cat

Hello
Wondered if any of you lovely people on the Litter Tray can help?
My beloved Ragdoll (retired Queen), spayed, who I have had for a year is restless, yowling and basically hugely attention seeking - has been for the past few days. I've seen this from her before and she's settled back to herself after a few days. Could this be a case of some ovarian tissue left after she was spayed?
Any thoughts/ ideas welcome.
She is eating, drinking etc as normal.

Could she be deaf? Our cat started doing this when she lost her hearing.

Gingerwarthog · 10/02/2023 21:53

She is white with blue eyes. Makes them more susceptible to deafness I think!
She's going to the vet on Monday.
Thanks for suggestion.

She adores DD though who has been late home on a few occasions this week due to clubs etc

Any disruption in the house turn my cats into "conversation artist's" I've just bought new furniture........between the disgruntled mrrrupping and the squeaking chittering I'm being sent around the twist 😂 they are a trio and set each other off

Gingerwarthog · 10/02/2023 22:08

That could be it?
I'm worried that she sounds as if she's in season though.

Lots of rolling on the floor, wanting cuddles

Has she had her thyroid checked?

Gingerwarthog · 11/02/2023 07:07

Hadn't thought of thyroid...

She's coming up for three years old so would she be too young for thyroid problems?

One of mine did this when in season.
Also, it happened once when she has a urinary tract infection- if she's constantly trying to have a wee, not much comes out, perhaps with a tiny bit of blood in it, might be that?

Gingerwarthog · 11/02/2023 13:35

Thanks @sorcerersapprentice
She is weeing and no blood.
She doesn't seem distressed just yowly!
A bit calmer this afternoon but she must be exhausted as she's not sleeping as normal!
Poor love!!!

Harry learned to meow like a Bengal when one moved in next door. It's now the meow that's used to summons me for feeding, door duty, litter tray emptying!

Sometimes he sits in the garden shouting about but we think it's because we are surrounded by cats and he wants to show them he's still got it. Out garden is cat proofed so they can't get at each other but they can see each other.

Took her to vet. He thinks it's a case of ovarian tissue left inside her after she was originally spayed.
As she's young, fit and healthy he is happy to re-spay her.
