Which one you recommend?
How much did you pay for intalation?

SureFlap -it came with the cat we rehomed privately.

Bought a jig saw and dh installed it himself in the back door. It was very straightforward

I have sure flap. It cost about £50 itself. But I had it installed in a glass door so that cost me £300

FenghuangHoyan · 06/02/2023 22:45

I bought this one www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0002DHNJG?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Fitted it myself in a wooden door using a saw, a file, a chisel and screwdrivers. Took a couple of hours. Could have been a lot faster with a jigsaw.

Yarnosaura · 06/02/2023 23:11

Around £50 for the flap, fitted it myself.

It replaced the previous one I also fitted which cost more as I bought a jigsaw to fit it.

Ha, I don't have a husband and I can't fit one myself, won't even try.

There are local handypeople in our area who'd do a job like that an an hourly rate. If it's into a wooden door then should be max 2 hours so £36 or thereabouts. We put a microchip one in as there's a couple of unfriendly cats about.

If it's into a plastic door panel or glass it's a bit different. A UPVC company will do it - usually at an hourly rate.

I used catflapfittiner.co.uk

I chose a mircrochip cat flat think all in it was £150
