Cat hates her harness

My 6 month old cat was spayed today and will not leave her stitches alone.
The cone I wrestled on was removed after about 10 seconds so I popped back to the vet to grab a post-surgery harness.
It's nice & soft, it doesn't appear to be cutting in and she can't reach her stitches- result!
However, she is refusing to walk! She's rolling around instead. She's eating & drinking (whilst laying down) but hasn't attempted her litter tray or stood up which is a little worrying.
Will she get used to it eventually?

I think body vest / harness type things throw the cats balance .
Hopefully by now she is getting use to it, but I would say as long as she is eating and drinking she will be ok.
Can you take it off for a dhort while and watch her very closely so she can have a wash and use her litter tray .

@KitchenMandarin Mine looked drunk initially in hers but got used to it pretty quickly. Hope yours does too!

Mine walked lopsided for a couple of days and kept falling over but was fine with it after that. Hopefully yours is much more comfortable now x

Thank for the replies!
She's used to it now but still a little wobbly. We're taking it off when we're indoors so she can have a stretch & a clean.

I'm with a specialist neuter clinics. None of our cats go out with cones or vests after spaying and no harm comes to them. Just take the thing off. Obviously keep an eye on her in case she starts tearing at the wound or something, but I've cared for probably over a thousand post spay cats and it's never happened. There should be no visible stitches in any case. Stitches are normally internal.

My parents had to cut the legs off their cats and he wore it like a t shirt. He looked very dapper in it. For some bizarre reason though, they only put it on him when they were home. Hmm

Took me a few reads of that before i realised they hadnt cut off the cat's actual legs....!!

Mine flopped around wildly wearing her baby grow. I was worried she was going to hurt herself. Suit removed (with the vet’s blessing), I was bitten in the process, cat strolled off nonchalantly! Never touched her wound and recovered beautifully.
