Third eyelid showing

Ollie's eye was fine this morning, but one of his eye lids is now showing. He's happily eaten. Hard to get a photo as he clearly wants a sleep. It's not sore. Would you get it checked by vet layer today or reassess tomorrow morning?

If it's not red, sore, weepy, he's fine otherwise I'd wait and see

Thanks for your quick response. Going to keep an eye on him - the vet has three appointments tonight, but reluctant to take him as I'm streaming with a cold and suspect DH has it - the vet won't welcome me!

My boy had the same, no idea how it became detached, probably scrapping, but he lived with it like that for a good few years without it giving him any issues at all. Just keep an eye on it and if it's not concerning you any further than it just not being 'normal' then I would just mention next time you're at the vets.

Just an update. It had totally disappeared last night, but it's slightly visible this morning. Eye obviously still sensitive but looks ok and not sore. When I was allowed to pamper sir last night, looks like a very thin layer of cat fur is miss above that eye (again not sore in that area) so wonder if he's scratched too hard. Keeping an eye on it, but hopefully can avoid the vet!

We had this with our cat, kept popping up and then disappearing. One day she started getting wobbly on her legs
Turned out to be an inner ear infection.

Third eyelid is usually a sign of illness and needs checking out if it persists.
