Cat collar

Can anyone recommend a collar for my kitten? She's 5 months old and never had one but I'm going to be letting her out soon so I need to get her used to it. We've tried a couple but they're either too big ( even when adjusted to the smallest setting) or she just goes mad and refuses to let us put one on her.

We thought we'd cracked it with a really soft one off Amazon but she got her mouth caught in it and bled everywhere ☹️ she also gets her front paws stuck in them. Help! Sorry about the formatting this site is terrible at the moment!

I've never used a collar as they can be dangerous for the cat. Is your cat microchipped and spayed?

I don't like collars on cats - I think they're really dangerous, even the so-called "quick release" ones.

No collar is the best sort...
Imagine the mishaps you have already had but in the outside world. No op. Just no.

Ah she she doesn't need one when she goes outside? Yes she's microchipped and spayed. Dh wants to get one with a tracker on so we know where she is when she's out and about. Otherwise I agree, I don't want to stress her!

We had a cat that had horrific scarring from being caught up in a collar as a stray and nearly losing a leg. I wouldn't risk using one.

There's no legal requirement for her to wear a collar - as long as she's chipped it's fine.
