Cat in car

Already posted this in chat then realised this is the better place to post.

Friend has dental appointment at 9.30 then vets at 11.30. Will the cat be ok in the car for less than an hour whilst she has dental appointment

I wouldn't keep a cat in a car for that length of time, personally.

I wouldn't leave my cat confined in its carrier for that long, no.

I definitely wouldn’t leave my cat on it’s own in the car. What is the vet appointment for? Because if it’s I’ll, rather than for annual jabs, then the question is even worse.

There’s a difference to a cat being in a carrier on a longer journey with you driving vs leaving them on their own.

Mine definitely wouldn’t. If that means keeping the cat in the car to drive to the dentists , alone through the dentists visit and then onto the vets 2 hours later , he would be stressed beyond belief before he even got to the vets table.

Annual jabs - friend has now managed to find someone to sit in car with cat whilst she's in dentist

That someone is going to be very cold.
I had to sit in the car park waiting for someone having a medical appointment. Thankfully I have a full length quilted coat and there was a blanket in the car. It was freezing.

Toddlerteaplease · 04/01/2023 06:15

Mine would be absolutely fine with that. But she's a really good traveller. But I wouldn't do it unless absolutely no other option.

Can she drop at the vets earlier? Mine will keep in one of their "cages" if I need to do something like this.
