Spooked kitten

Our 12 week kitten got spooked when I was trying to get her in her carrier to go for a vet check & has run off somewhere in the house and we can't find her anywhere. There's not many hiding places and we've checked them all. I know it's just a waiting game and she will come out. We've put food down but wondering if anyone has any other tips? She definitely wasn't able to get out of the house.

It’s a waiting game. Go round with the torch on your phone, her eyes will reflect.

Dreamies

They can squeeze in tiny places. Ours can flatten herself and slide over the top of the printer on our shelf unit and get behind it. You wouldn’t think a cat could fit through the tiny gap.

I've been and put some dreamies out around the rooms.

You're right about them being able to make themselves flat. I do believe that's exactly what she's done. It's just such a shame as we've had her 2 weeks and she was getting much more confident and exploring downstairs but I think she's run upstairs.

It's her playtime around now so hoping she might appear.

Not behind the printer. I've taken the litter tray upstairs too as I think she will need the loo soon

She's back! Little minx just came trotting back down to the lounge. God knows where she was

There you go. Hero’s return no doubt.

That’s cats for you, little shitbags the lot of them🤣🤣 I’m glad she is safe and well😻

We lost our gorgeous girl ( a large ragdoll) a few weeks ago, it was freezing cold and I was getting worried as she hadn’t returned from outside, or so we thought! There I am in the freezing cold shaking the dreamies and calling her and she saunters in from upstairs with a look that says ‘what the hell are you doing’😻🤣

Hero's return indeed. She just did a revenge poo 🤣

I think the sound of my crisps attracted her. She was trying to steal my Pringles the other night.

When I went to visit Cheddar with the view to adopting her. We searched for 45 minutes. She was sitting there in plain sight all the time! She just blended in!

mac1974 · 16/12/2022 21:39

@Toddlerteaplease I did think that earlier that she was probably right under our nose

@BayCityTrollers I fully expect that will be me one day with this cheeky girl
