Dog proof litter tray - past myself!

I’m getting past myself now. Can anyone suggest a genuinely dog proof litter tray? I’ve tried all sorts eg blocking it in with furniture and facing it the other way etc but they always find a way to snack out of it 🤢

I don’t want to shut the dogs away from the living area when we go out but they’re getting to the point where it might need to happen

We put ours in a low kitchen cupboard with a cat flap in the door. Dog can't open door, easily accessible for cleaning, lots of room for cat.

We have top loaders but won't be any use of dog is tall.

That’s a great idea but we don’t have a spare cupboard or room for extra furniture. Unfortunately if the dogs can get their faces to the flap then they can get in the box

Put a safety gate between dog and tray. Cats easily learn to leap over it (begin by putting a chair either side of it, within a few days they won't need the chairs).

I missed something out. The current litter tray is one of those from pets at home, the triangular boxes with a roof and a flap

Can you just put it in your bathroom and keep the dog downstairs?
