Cat flap

Just had a new cat flap fitted in double glazing because the previous owner installed one that was much too high for them, he had those giant great cats - can't remember the name of them.
Cost me £300 for a toughened glazed unit and a new catflap much lower down.
These pair of idiots refuse to use it.
The kitten fair enough, she's only ever used a propped open cat flap because she's little. But the elderly cat just goes nope.
She used a normal cat flap in her previous home so what the heck is the problem?
I've now got two refuseniks wailing at the back door all the time. How do I get them to use it? I never had this problem with previous cats.

Push them through it? Go on the other side and get them through with treats?

Tbh one of mine is a bit of a diva and only uses the cat flap if we're not there to open a door for him, but he'll use it if he has no other option. We did the treats through the flap + pushing him through for a few days 😂

Cat flap is emergency use only .... it's much easier for a human to open the door for you rather than having to make the effort to push the cat flap (at least I can only assume that's what my 3 cats think!)

At the moment there is an arctic breeze blowing through the house as the cat flap is bungeed open.

We had to post ours through it a few times before he ‘got’ it.
