What does my cat want?

He is following me around and having a right go at me. He has food (and has already eaten more than his usual allotted amount). He has been in and out about fifty times. I've even put the bloody heating on for him. I've tried letting him lead me to whatever the problem is but he just hovers around the food cupboard. He is recently wormed and flea'd.

When I say following me I mean following me in FRONT OF MY FEET wherever I go.

Dcat wants you to sit down and provide a warm knee to sleep on.

He might no want anything. He just wants you to remember who is boss. 😁

Mine is doing this too OP. When I sit down he gets on me and goes to sleep. This makes him very happy and he believes this should be our plan for the day 🤦‍♀️

He knows that the radiator is on but be prefers a warm lap.

Mine are the same. I think they are bored. It's cold and damp outside and they are fed up that I haven't cooked them any fish today.

It's a National phenomenon then? That's good to know. He's driving me to distraction and I feel guilty as well. The permanent state of the cat owner.

I have 4 cats. One of them is hassling my oldest cat (they don't like each other) so the bad cat has been shut out of the kitchen. Then her sister gets upset because they don't like to be seperated.
My outdoor cat is mugging me for attention every time I leave the house (he's very affectionate) and I literally cannot put one foot in front of the other without tripping over him.
They are all being VERY needy.

Mine normally wants fresh water, though she never seems to drink it.

One of mine is very vocal at the minute, and scraping at doors with her paws, even though they are open.

Have you taken the sheeted off the bed ? My sons Siamese had a right tantrum at the weekend because the velvet soft duvet cover had been removed for washing - he was hissing and everything, was fine once it had been put back on .

I was going to ask if he wanted a cup of fresh water or for you to turn the tap on for him. My cats a Bugger for pestering for this. If you walk to different areas of the house does he show you what he wants? Mine will jump at the sink for a drink or run to the back door if he wants letting out or to his food bowl if the biscuits are not sufficiently topped up.

He wants a cuddle. My DCat has been doing this all day. I pick him up, cuddle him and that seems to stop it for a while. He is bored, it’s foggy here and cold. He’s hardly going out. He got all his toys out to play with, he was chirping at me to open the box.

Bored cat here too. Her favourite arch-rival recently moved away so she's bored... She normally sits near what she wants, whether that is food, a brush, a game or Dreamies. Now she's sitting in the middle of the room, hedging her bets I suspect. I told DH he needs to be the cat whisperer tonight because I'm all out of ideas.

Turns out it was food related! Just gave him some different stuff that arrived in the shopping and he finally seems satisfied (he ate the other stuff as well, like). Phew.

One of my cats stands with his two paws on my bum screeching when I've my back to him washing dishes. Apparently he wants a treat and he wants it NOW!

The old cat wants cuddles and will pat me with her paw until she gets one and the kitten wants to be drip fed Dreamies.

Pop him in a sling, you can crack on with things and he'll be happy. Awww.
