Poor boy has a sore spot which has now scabbed and I am sure it's where I did his last flea treatment.
I tend to buy advantage online as I can't get him to the vets. What else could I use?
Thanks

Why can’t you get him to the vets? That’s a bit worrying if anything ever happens to him/he becomes ill.

Easiest way is a Programme injection. Twice a year at the vet.

Our cats have a tablet from the vets - lasts for around a month but extremely effective. and it isn't too costly.

Do you really need to give a flea treatment regularly? I don't treat my cats at all unless they have an infestation (very rare, and then I tend to just flea comb them off.). Most of the time they have no fleas. Our vet is actually quite anti using chemicals on them regularly, and I agree.

Getting him into the carrier is very tricky but I haven't tried again for a while.
I could speak to the vet but I guess they would want to see him.
Injection twice a year would be great I will look into it thanks.

One thing to try with the carrier is to leave it open in a quiet corner somewhere (ie spare bedroom or something). Cosy blanket in there. Eventually, the cat may choose to start snoozing in there. It’s all about making it seem “normal”. So that they don’t view it as a “bad” place.

I am now wondering if it is a ringworm patch ffs.
