Ear mites

I took the floofy one to the vets for an ear infection and it's mites!!
A spot on treatment and ear drops for two weeks, twice a day.

He said they're a nightmare to get rid of. Is there anything else I can do? (He's the only animal now).

The most helpful thing I found was for the vet to flush out DCat's ears, which gave me a bit of a head start on the treatment. Getting ear drops into her was a nightmare.

I found a drop of olive oil in each ear now and then keeps them at bay.

I'm on my own which doesn't help. I'm managing to get some in (I think)

Yes, me too. If you manage to get some in, give the ear a gentle squeeze which apparently distributes it a bit further.
