DCat home after 10 weeks!

DCat went missing 10 weeks again and turned up in someone’s garden locally years. Picked her up and brought her home - poor thing has lost a lot of weight. Took her to vets for initial check up and she’s going back tomorrow for blood test and X-ray as is a bit wobbly on her back legs.

So relieved she’s home - she’s obviously a bit traumatised (as we think she’s been outside living on a nature trail that runs adjacent to our road, and she wasn’t really an outdoor cat beforehand, only wandered round our back garden).

Any tips on how to help her settle back in? She’s following us around and approaching us for fuss and cuddles. She’s eating a bit and often and drinking water, what else should we do?

Any similar experiences shared would be appreciated! Did you ever let your DCat out again (I’m terrified to do so).

That's great news. I think you are doing pretty much everything you can.

Lovely news that you have her back.

Maybe a feliway might help her relax at home, other than that, keep doing what you're doing.
