Oral mass - keeping everything crossed

My beautiful 🐾 girl (4 years old) has been diagnosed with a lump in her mouth. It looks red and dark in some areas. Vet unsure as to what exactly it is and therefore no idea on how sinister (or not) so it is.

I am worried sick :(

Op booked for a couple of weeks time (they are fully booked until then 😫) but we have been given some pain relief to give her until then.

Has anyone's cat had anything similar before and can share any info or experiences?

It is right at the very back of her mouth so I cannot take a photo to share for further advice. But thank you in advance for any input x
