Do I have a Burmese?

I have a rescue cat who I think may be a full or half Burmese.
based on looking at pictures and descriptions online, but I am not sure.
he is chocolate brown all over and solid build quite heavy.
the rescue centre were not able to tell me, just said he was oriental
It’s not hugely important for me to know as I have had him a while now, I’m just curious really, Just wondering if anyone with knowledge would be able to tell me. Here is my handsome boy.

Looks like my sisters cat which is Tonkinese. Different shape to my two Burmese

I was never really interested in oriental cats before, I always loved tabbies and gingers😀 but since we got our boy I have taken more notice of them and have been converted.

Yes he's cuddled up with his favourite toy, which he's had since he was a kitten. He does a lot of snoozing now (he's 10).

Your boy does sound like he's oriental - they are very affectionate and chatty. I wasn't sure from the photo if his eyes are green or blue? I've had quite a few Burmese in various colours and they have all had green eyes.

Beautiful cat but not a Burmese face. Looks like an ‘old fashioned’ Siamese.
