Walking with your cat

My cat follows me when I go walking, he will sit outside the shop and then follow me back home. He's missing a leg so needs to be carried back as he gets tired. Do your cats go walking with you ?

I had a cat who would wait for the bus with me. The bus stop was about half a dozen houses along the road from ours. He would sit on the garden wall next to the stop until the big scary bus came along and then scarper.

I had a cat who would walk part of the way to school with me.

When we put the bins out on a Friday night both my cats go for a walk with us. We walk round to the end of our street, cross the road and walk back to the house. They then expect dreamies to be delivered to them on the drive.

Mine enjoys a companionable wander around the block every now and then, with various stoppings and sniffings and chasings of invisible objects. He also expects treats when we get home after all that immense effort

The cats used to follow us when we took my cousin's dogs out for a walk on the farm, often walking for ages. They would hunt in and out of the gorse bushes, and even work with the little dogs (chihuahua, yorkie & Pomeranian) after the smaller rodents.
