My cat is being attacked by a ginger tom who lives a couple of streets away but likes to live it up on our road and sit on my shed in the sun (the cheeky bastard). It has attacked my cat twice over the summer, both times leaving a painful bite/abcess. Just come home today and there is a fresh wound in exactly the same place as the previous two bites. So back to the vets again -more aggro for my poor cat, and yet more vets bills.
I know this sounds melodramatic but this is no way to live for a cat or a cat owner! The thug cat hangs in our garden, chases my cat into the cat flap. It's a menace. It also attacked another cat on our crescent.
I chase it away whenever I see it, load up a water blaster,... I'm thinking now I need to only let my cat out when I'm at home which seems unfair on him. (My cat flap is always closed at night, so the attacks are happening in the day).
Anyone have any tips or suggestions for anything else I can do? My cat is a wuss and not a fighter. The ginger cat has a home 2 streets away and looks well cared for.
