Cat collar for longhaired cat

I am looking for a reflective collar for my long haired solid black cat. He is a huge mainecoon cross and his ruff is coming in. The collar l bought him doesn't show up at all under his mane, he is an outdoors cat and l don't t usually put collars on my cats , they are all microchipped, but l worry he won't show up in the dark, near the road etc. I do try and keep him in most nights but he is a young cat and loves going out. My other cats are shorthaired so not had this problem before, have looked online but no joy.

Don’t bother just make sure he is in before it gets dark , it really doesn’t matter what he likes , being in is in his best interests .

My long haired girls got terrible matts from wearing a collar. And I accidentally cut one of them trying to remove the Matt. So they don't have one.

I wouldn't be letting an MC out without supervision anyway, in case they get nicked.

I wouldn't put a collar on any cat, let alone a long-haired one.

As l said he is not a full mainecoon, cross breed, and l don't usually put collars on, but he is solid black, l have had cats for over 30 yrs and always let them out at night.
thanks anyway.
