Age Apropriate Food or is it

Hello all

I have 2 cats, 12/13 years old, healthy and happy. They have a range of foods and are particularly fond of whiskas dry food. I've bought the age 7+ and 1+ bags, and now I'm wondering if it's better for them to have the 7+ exclusively or if the age spec is irrelevant.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks

some info here

Cats also experience changes in how they digest their food as they age – specifically, they cannot digest protein or oils as efficiently as before. Senior diets are formulated to be more digestible to help combat these changes

You can get 11+ foods which would probably be a better option at their ages.

My parents have elderly cats, who dont like the 11+ food at all, and tolerate the 7+ ones but are grumpy about it.

She thinks it may taste quite a lot blander than the younger age food, so its more digestible, but not as tasty? Not sure if thats true though!
