@AsAnyFuleKno it depends on the angle of the fur, they have a white undercoat with the black tips that gives the smoky effect 😻@searchingformiracle good advice, I shall limit his gaming from here on 😂

I've had Persians for 7 years. All from a rescue. My first two were from a kitten farm so, had a rubbish start in life. But with some TLC they blossomed.
Sadly one died a few years ago, aged only eight. But I still have her sister. I then adopted a red exotic shorthair called Cheddar. Who is bonkers. And very noisy.
Persians are sweet, docile and affectionate "animated cushions that breathe" They don't jump or climb. Mine don't really play or hunt.

You need a metal comb and a tangle teaser brush.
Cotton wool pads for eyes. And find a professional groomer, for occasional tidy ups. Definitely keep trousers and hair round the bum shirt with a hygiene trim. And as I said very good insurance. Magic and Maia ran up huge bills. For bizarre things!
Magic is the black one. Cheddar the red one. No idea why they are looking so snooty in that photo.

Love how they both have their noses up in the air! 😂 the kittens are very placid and love being brushed, they don’t seem to mind me cleaning their eyes and noses either, I’ve been doing it in the morning with cooled boiled water and cotton pads. They’ve both had to have a couple of quick bum washes as neither are very good at that yet but they don’t really put up much of a fuss with that either, and like the cuddles whilst wrapped in a towel after 😻

They’re lovely. I’m also envious.
I have a cat named Monty/Montague too but the rescue named him. He’s not as sweet looking!

I have a persian too. She is such a sweet cat. I agree with the suggestion of a metal comb instead of a brush. Greyhound combs are meant to be good but I got a cheaper version from amazon.
