Afternoon all.
We recently acquired an older male (probably around 16) cat when our neighbour went into a care home. Had him about 9 months now. He is a lovely affectionate little thing. We have another female cat (neutered) and they are amicable.
Today i caught him spraying at length and considerable volume against our front door (on the inside!) all over the door and the runner. I have never seen this before!
There are 2 kitty litter trays which are changed daily in full and picked out as required from poo. He has irritable bowel syndrome that is well managed with food and regularly vet checked and he does enjoy dreamies which the vet knows we give in moderation. he does drink alot but recently had full blood tests that ruled out everything except the IBS. I have never had a cat that sprayed before so am absolutely at sea as to the possible cause and what to do!
